Lansing Sailing Club 2018 Laser Regatta - August 24, 2019

 

We work hard to make the Lake Lansing Sailing Club Laser Regatta one of the best regattas for Laser sailors. Good competition, lots of boats, well run races and friendly people are in abundance here. And we are also known for the best BBQ in the State! We hope you will come and sail with us this year.

Location

Lansing Sailing Club - 6039 E. Lake Drive, Haslett, MI 48840

Schedule

8:00 – Registration

9:30 – Skipper’s Meeting

10:00 – First of Six Scheduled Races. If six races are completed, there will be one throw-out

Noon (approx.) - Brief Break for snacks provided by LSC.

No race will start after 4:00

After Racing

LSC “famous” Chicken/ 1½” Steak BBQ with baked potato, grilled corn, and more! Additional treats and door prizes following the BBQ.

Awards

There will be awards for the highest finishing participants and a special award based on registration (Woman, Junior or Radial Sailors)

Entry Fee

$40 per participant. Extra meal tickets for BBQ available for non-racers.

Sat Oct 6: Registration at 10:30am-12:00pm
Skippers Meeting at 12:30 pm
First Start at 1 pm (4+ Races Back to Back)
Dinner & Pumpkinhead Party 6pm
 
Sun Oct 7: Race Start 9:45 am (2-3 Races-no start after 12:30pm)
Chili & Beverages after sailing
 
Cost: $45.00 includes Dinner, Lunch and Beverages (sailors under 18 - $20)
 
Entry & Eligibility: All Laser & Laser Radials welcome (One Start)
 
Prizes: Awards will be given to:
Top 5 finishers Laser ,Top 1-2 Radial (if more than 5 registered)
Top Woman, Top Junior, Top Grand Master (55+)
 
Housing: Some local housing available. If making hotel reservations, make them early as Art Prize
will be going on in Grand Rapids (Bring your spouse/family- Art Prize is a city wide art competition
that brings in millions of visitors to Grand Rapids)
