  1. Ekaterinburg's famous Verkh-Isetsky pond keeps presenting the sailors with great challenges and the penultimate day of the 2018 Women's Match Racing World Championship saw the trend continue as the field was reduced to four teams in a strong northwesterly wind.
  2. The sports' governing body and the Yacht Racing Forum confirm the continuation of their partnership until 2020. The leading annual conference for the business of sailing and yacht racing will take place in Lorient, France, on October 22-23.

  4. The second day of round robin sailing in Ekaterinburg, Russia, at the 2018 Women's Match Racing World Championship saw a change of conditions as the first four teams punched their tickets for the Quarter Finals and will wait for the other four.
  5. The International Olympic Committee has announced the appointment of Mr Kim Andersen, President of World Sailing, as a member of the Olympic Channel Commission.
